The Margarita's history is a bit hazy, likely because most of the people involved had already had a few. Invented somewhere in Mexico in the 1930s or 40s — some credit a socialite named Margarita Sames, others a bartender making it for a showgirl. Everyone agrees on the sharp lime, the clean tequila and the salted rim.
Lisa left half the salt; next time the bartender salted only half the rim.
